Ubisoft trademarks Killing Day, the FPS it announced in 2005

A new trademark application has sparked speculation that Killing Day, announced by Ubisoft seven-and-a-half years ago, may still be alive.
PlayStation Lifestyle spotted a registration for the Killing Day mark filed on 4th January 2013. Is Ubisoft simply keeping the Killing Day trademark chugging along for a rainy day, or could it have revived its cancelled first-person shooter?
Killing Day was revealed during Sony's E3 2005 press conference as part of the PlayStation 3 announcement. It was confirmed for release on Xbox 360.
