Double Fine takes to Kickstarter yet again with strategy epic Massive Chalice

Last year Double Fine arguably ignited the Kickstarter revolution with its "Double Fine Adventure" - now called Broken Age - raising over $3.3 million. Now the fan-favourite developer is at it again with Massive Chalice, a turn-based tactics game for PC, Mac and Linux.
Helmed by Iron Brigade creator Brad Muir, Massive Chalice will span multiple generations as you train heroes to repel demons in a fantasy universe. The game will be a genre hybrid combining turn-based tactical combat with more overarching strategy fare like overseeing a kingdom, arranging marriages, and conducting research.
There will also be plenty of roguelike elements like permadeath for your warriors and you'll start each playthrough with randomised units. "Your knowledge and skill will increase over multiple playthroughs, but the details of every game will change based on your decisions and the whims of fate," noted the Kickstarter description.
