  • Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel brings back the 1930's animation aesthetic

The seven-person Spanish indie outfit Red Little House Studios has shown off its debut title, Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel, an Indiegogo-funded tribute to 1930's animation done up as an oldschool puzzle-based adventure game for PC, Mac and Linux.
An ode to the works of Max Fleischer, Friz Freleng. Ub Iwerks, and Walt Disney, Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel will play out in an isometric perspective as Cherry, the usual damsel in distress, is put in charge with rescuing her lover, the fictitious animated star Fleish the Fox, who's been captured by his arch-nemesis, Mr Mintz. Nevermind the human/animal relationships.
Some puzzles will be inventory-based, while others will be predicated on using your cartoon skills, like being able to flatten yourself when crushed by an anvil. There will also be plenty of dialogue trees and delightful characters populating the zany inn, and each floor will be a new world - a bit like an animated, slaphappy rendition of Sleep No More's McKittrick Hotel.
