    Virtual reality invention Oculus Rift sought $250,000 on Kickstarter roughly a year ago - a target it trampled as it pelted towards the £2.5 million it eventually raised.
    People began to believe, their number growing as Oculus Rift appeared at game shows - like Rezzed this weekend in Birmingham - and as dev kits shipped around the world. Game support sprouted left, right and centre.
    Curio became conviction that this could be the future of gaming.

    Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 slips to 2014 in Europe, US

    Lightning Returns, the closing chapter of Square Enix's Final Fantasy 13 trilogy, will be released in Europe on Valentine's Day 2014.
    The game's North American release comes the same week, on 11th February. Lightning Returns was previously announced for release this autumn - it may still make that date in Japan.
    Lightning Returns is still listed for just PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
