The next versions of Super Smash Bros. will offer a different kind of story campaign to previous games in the series, creator Masahiro Sakurai has promised.
Wii incarnation Super Smash Bros. Brawl included Subspace Emissary, a sprawling side-scroller mode with detailed cut-scenes that showed Nintendo characters good and bad banding together to defeat an even greater foe.
"There will be a single player [campaign], but it won't be like the [Subspace Emissary] mode in Brawl," Sakurai told Polygon.
