DayZ week-one sales rocket past 400,000

Good things really do come to those who wait, as developer Bohemia revealed that more than 400,000 people bought DayZ during its first week on Steam Early Access sale. It was released on 16th December for £20.
Other week-one highlights, revealed in a Christmas update on the game's tumblr, include 40,000 concurrent users, three patches released and creator Dean Hall laying out the immediate future of the still-in-development game.
The rolling stone of success may cause people otherwise not interested in DayZ to sit up and take note. But Bohemia issued a warning to those such onlookers, reminding them of the unfinished nature of the game.
