The games industry is packing its bags and making its way for sunny, meaty Cologne where it's going to spend the new few days gorging on the great and good of the next few months as well as devouring a handful of new announcements. There will be sausages, and there will be games. We'll be there to hoover up all of this information, and all of the pork, with live reporting on each major press conference and big game from people on the ground in Cologne. The few of us holding up the fort at home will probably scoot down to Lewisham's Sausage Man to get into the swing of things, before popping back to give you some extra insight and commentary.
To get you primed for next week's event, we've put together a quick Q&A covering everything you need to know about Gamescom this year, from the starting times of each conference to what we expect each platform holder to show. As soon as each conference has finished, we'll also update this article with links to all of the key information that comes out of them.
