Cult-favourite series Way of the Samurai is making its PC debut later this year when it will bring Way of the Samurai 4 to Steam, the port's publisher Ghostlight has announced.Released to mixed critical reception in 2012, Way of the Samurai 4 was a PS3-exclusive, though previous entries in the series have appeared on Xbox 360, PSP and PS2. The series has always been something of a love-it-or-hate-it proposition with its Dead Rising-esque time system that sees players trying to accomplish as much as they can in a scant few hours. Whatever they miss will have to be discovered upon subsequent playthroughs.
This latest entry in the series is set in 19th century Japan where you play as a ronin who gets involved in a three-way conflict between shogunate pro-governmental forces, the nationalistic isolationists, and the Anglo Saxon foreign powers.
