Turn-Based Transformers Strategy Game Out Now, Watch Launch Trailer Here
Developer DeNA and Hasbro on Thursday released Transformers: Battle Tactics, a turn-based strategy game for iOS and Android devices. The free-to-play game, supported by in-game micro-transactions, is available right now from iTunes and Google Play.
The game, inspired by the Combiner Wars comic story and the overall Transformers 30-year history, sees players collecting and assembling teams of Autobots and Decepticons. In fact, characters from both factions will fight alongside each other, something that's never happened before in a Transformers game, DeNA says.
Overall, players will manager an army of Transformers characters, using four at a time to duke it out on the battlefield. Characters can level up or link up with others to unlock "Combiners" that do even more damage.
Battle Tactics will offer up more than 75 classic Transformers characters, each with their own unique abilities, including Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and Bumblebee, among others. The game also sports a unique art style, which you can see in the launch trailer above and the image gallery below.
