20th Century Fox on Wednesday released the first trailer for upcoming Hitman movie, Agent 47, which stars Homeland's Rupert Friend, Star Trek's Zachary Quinto, and Ciaran Hinds.
Agent 47, which was originally expected to star Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker before he died in a car crash, focuses on the genetically engineered killing machine played by Friend.
Endowed with super-human strength, speed, stamina, and intelligence, Agent 47 is not someone you want to mess with, the trailer explains. In the movie, he's targeting a mega-corporation that is planning to "unlock the secret of Agent 47's past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own."
Also starring in the movie is Hannah Ware, whose character "may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies."
Agent 47 opens this summer. It was directed by Aleksander Bach, a well-established commercials director.
Fox has also published a "Trailer Execution" parody video that shows Agent 47 taking out YouTubers who claim to have "leaked" footage of the movie.
This movie follows 2007's Hitman, which starred Timothy Olyphant as the murderous bald hero.
Not interested in the Hitman movie? Developer IO Interactive is also working on the next entry in the video game series, which will be revealed this year.
