  • As Telltale Looks to Film/TV, Former EA CEO Joins Board of Directors

Former Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has a new job. The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games on Tuesday announced that Riccitiello--who is the current CEO of game engine company Unity--has joined the developer's board of directors.
Riccitiello is actually the second new addition to Telltale's board of directors today. The Hunger Games film company Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also joined the board, following his company's "significant investment" in the San Rafael, California-based developer.
"As Telltale continues to lead the revolution in next generation interactive storytelling, I'm excited to welcome two top executives to our board," Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said. "Jon Feltheimer and John Riccitiello have decades of experience delivering premium entertainment to audiences everywhere."
Riccitiello resigned from EA in March 2013. He was replaced by Andrew Wilson as CEO.

The appointment of Riccitiello and Feltheimer to Telltale's board comes during a period of acceleration and change for the company. In addition to new games in development based on Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Minecraft, Telltale has suggested it is interested in expanding to film and/or TV.

Discussing Telltale's new partnership with Lionsgate today, Bruner said: "This partnership will accelerate Telltale's ability to create not only original games, but episodic television series based on our game properties, an area at the cutting edge of industry growth."
