  • League of Legends Not Coming to Other Platforms, says Riot Games

Riot Games has confirmed that it currently has "no plans" to develop League of Legends for platforms outside of Mac and PC. Speculation that the developer was branching out onto other platforms first arose following news of Microsoft's announced partnership with Tencent.
"Today’s announcement mentioning League of Legends has generated a lot of speculation in the LoL player community. We’d like to clarify that our focus is on making sure League plays great on Mac and PC. No plans for console, mobile or other platforms at this time," a Riot Games representative told GameSpot.
Tencent is China's largest Internet service provider. As part of its partnership with Microsoft, Tencent will bring some of its most popular PC games, including League of Legends and Cross Fire, to Windows 10 and the new Windows store.
Tencent acquired a large stake in Riot Games in 2011. As a result of the deal, the company would provide Riot Games with what chief executive Brandon Beck described as "additional resources" to assist with the maintenance of League of Legends, as well as providing opportunities to "launch new projects."
