Codemasters' F1 2015, the studio's debut on the current generation of consoles, will be shooting for 60fps on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Sony's console getting the 1080p treatment while Microsoft's gets 900p.
"On console we've had it very, very close to 60fps, certainly on PS4," F1 2015's game designer Steven Embling told Eurogamer. "Everyone at the studio is doing a fantastic with the optimisation, and we're in the final couple of months before release where there's a big push that we hit that 60fps, and that's the plan."
F1 2015 marks a slightly belated entry to the new generation for Codemasters as they've got to grips with the hardware. So why has it taken a while for this debut?
