  • Call of Duty's Nuketown Map May Return Yet Again in Black Ops 3

Nuketown, the map that has been included in multiple Call of Duty games in one form or another, may be present in the upcoming Black Ops III, at least as a bonus of some sort.
This is according to a listing for the Digital Deluxe edition of game on the Brazilian PlayStation Network that has since been modified (but was spotted by fan site MP1st). It references a bonus "NUK3TOWN" map that buyers will receive.
The original Nuketown from Call of Duty: Black OpsOffensive capitalization and use of the number three aside, this is the first we've heard of the map being in Black Ops III from an official source. The reference has now been removed, and it remains unclear exactly how you'll be able to get your hands on it or if it will be available for all platforms.
The multiplayer map was originally included in the first Black Ops; it was a small-scale map set in a suburban neighborhood designed as a sort of nuclear testing ground. It then returned as Nuketown 2025 for Black Ops II, but rather than being included as a standard map, it was offered as a preorder bonus and incentive for picking up a launch copy or a special edition. Nuketown also made appearances in Black Ops II's Zombies mode and Black Ops: Declassified, and it was popular enough to warrant a gametype bearing its name in Black Ops.
Black Ops III recently concluded a beta test on PS4, with Xbox One and PC versions of the test currently underway. The full version is set for launch on all three platforms, as well as Xbox 360 and PS3, on November 6.
