  • Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps is a New Competitive Shooter For PS4

Capcom has announced Biohazard: Umbrella Corps, a competitive shooter set in the Resident Evil universe.
The game was shown off at Sony's PlayStation press conference in TGS, where Capcom said it will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Resident Evil series this year with remakes of previous titles, as well as this new shooter.
Although details on the game were not specifically provided, the gameplay video showed firefights from both a first-person and third-person perspectives, as well as cover mechanics. In addition to an assortment of guns, more unconventional weapons such as a hook-blade were used by some of the characters.
Different classes of character were also shown, indicating team work will be a key element of the shooter.
Biohazard: Umbrella Corps is expected for release in 2016 for PlayStation 4. A release outside of Japan was not mentioned but other Capcom territories have posted the trailer on YouTube, indicating the game will be available in North America and Europe too.
Interestingly, these trailers do not feature the BioHazard or Resident Evil brands in the game's title, it is simply called "Umbrella Corps,"
Capcom trademarked Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps in Europe and Japan. The last game to bear the "Umbrella" moniker was Wii lightgun title Resident: Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, which was also released for PlayStation 3 following a period of exclusivity on Nintendo's console.
Despite the similarities to the Wii title, Umbrella Corps seems to be more in line with Slant Six's third-person shooter, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
