Microsoft has published the next "Woman Vs. Wild" video for Rise of the Tomb Raider, this one focusing on Lara Croft's guerrilla combat abilities and tools. As you'll see in the video, Lara is outnumbered and lacks the firepower of her enemies, but that doesn't mean she's a goner. Watch the new video below.
The video explains that Lara can sneak around bases and distract enemies to avoid combat altogether. But sometimes, combat is unavoidable. The guns-blazing approach is there for you, but Crystal Dynamics warns that resources and ammo will be somewhat scarce. Therefore, it's smart to assess the situation and plan out an efficient strategy before going in. Of course, you can play the game however you want.
Also featured in the video is Rise of the Tomb Raider's skills system. There are three: Brawler, Hunter, and Survivor. Players can choose how they want to spend points to upgrade each individual system depending on how they want to play. There are also numerous weapon upgrades and abilities to unlock, such as a double-headshot skill or the ability to make a booby trap out of a dead body.
Finally, the video goes over Rise of the Tomb Raider's crafting system. Players can craft poison, fire, and explosive arrows, as well as makeshift grenades, among other things.
Next week's Woman Vs. Wild episode, the third and final one, will cover the game's main tombs, challenge tombs, and crypts. The video will also highlight additional abilities for Lara. The first Woman Vs. Wild video was released last week and showed Lara fighting bears and escaping avalanches.
The Rise of the Tomb Raider release date is locked in for November 10 across Xbox One and Xbox 360. The PC and PlayStation 4 versions launch in 2016. For more, check out GameSpot's recent interview with Rise of the Tomb Raider writer Rhianna Pratchett.
In other recent news, Microsoft has said it's not worried about Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fallout 4 launching on the same day.
