Bungie, the creator of the acclaimed blockbuster Halo series, has spoken out to congratulate Microsoft and developer 343 Industries on the recent launch of Halo 5: Guardians.
"Congratulations to 343i on the launch of Halo 5," Bungie wrote on Twitter. "We can't wait to see where the Chief goes next. Cheers!"
The official Halo Twitter account responded: "Thanks for the kind words! We hope you enjoy." Microsoft went on to say that it's looking forward to taking part in Destiny's Halloween festivities this weekend.
Bungie created the Halo franchise and developed all major installments up until 2010's Halo: Reach. Microsoft acquired Bungie in 2000, but the two companies split in 2007, with Microsoft keeping hold of the Halo franchise. Bungie has since gone off to partner with Activision for Destiny.
