Rick and Morty mobile game Pocket Mortys parodies Pokemon

Adult Swim's popular sci-fi comedy Rick and Morty is getting a free mobile spin-off next week with Pocket Mortys, coming to iOS and Android platforms on 14th January.
Series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon tweeted about its release, and included gifs of it in action, making it clear that it's following in the footsteps of Pokemon.
Based on the snippet of gameplay we've seen, Pocket Mortys is set in the Council of Ricks in an alternate dimension where Ricks and Mortys from indefinite universes come to form their own nation. And a government run by the staunchly - and squanchly - anti-government Rick is a terrifying place indeed.
