  • The Division "Underground" Launch Trailer Shows New Content, Teases Ominous Threat

The Division's first expansion, Underground, launches tomorrow on Xbox One and PC. Having already released the full patch notes, Ubisoft has now published its launch trailer.
On display in the video is some of Underground's new content, which is set...underground. There are new missions, a raid (Dragon's Nest), and areas to explore that offer "endless replayability" by way of how they are randomly generated. Take a look in the video above.
The trailer also teases some of the story, which involves taking down Cleaners who are apparently inspired by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. We also get a look at some of the gear sets and weapons, along with the Ubisoft 30th anniversary content such as a character outfit based on Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series.
Underground is the first of three planned paid expansions for The Division. The other two are called Survival and Last Stand. You can get all three through the $40 DLC pass, while they will also be available separately, though pricing has not been announced.
The Underground expansion launches tomorrow, June 28, for Xbox One and PC only per a timed-exclusivity agreement between Ubisoft and Microsoft. PlayStation 4 owners will get the content on August 2.
Even if you don't buy Underground, The Division is changing in some big ways tomorrow with the 1.3 update. It introduces some major weapon balance changes and a talent recalibration system, and fixes a bug where the moon was upside down. Check out the full patch notes here. The patch will be out tomorrow for Xbox One and PC, but is delayed on PS4.
