The second Titanfall 2 multiplayer beta begins very soon, and we now have a first look at some of its new content with a teaser video. Everyone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can begin playing tomorrow, August 26, starting at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.
The beta runs until August 28, though an exact end-time has not been announced. As detailed previously, new for the second beta will be the 6v6 mode, Amped Hardpoint, as well as the Forward Base Kodai map. You can see some footage of this mode and map in the teaser video below that Respawn released today.
The video also confirms that Titanfall 2's level cap is going up for the second beta, giving players the opportunity to unlock more items. Respawn is not bringing the Titanfall 2 beta to PC for reasons that it explained earlier this month.
Respawn said earlier this week that it learned a lot from the first Titanfall 2 beta in the areas of server infrastructure and gameplay elements. Of particular note, Respawn explained the changes it made to player mobility after fans raised concerns, while it also talked about adjustments implemented as a result of close-range firefights being too chaotic in the first game.
Check out this story for a detailed rundown of the concerns players rose and how Respawn is responding to them. You can also read our impressions of the first beta weekend here.
Titanfall 2 launches on October 28 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The first game lacked a single-player campaign, but this has been added to the sequel.
