  • Battlefield 1 Beta Early Access Codes Going Out Tomorrow

Battlefield 1's open beta begins on August 31, but some people will be able to play early.
If you signed up for the free Battlefield Insider program by August 21 and selected your platform of choice, you will receive a code by email to start playing on Tuesday, August 30.
It wasn't known when these codes would go out, but the Battlefield Twitter account today confirmed that codes will be delivered on August 30, the same day that the beta starts for Insiders. A start time for the beta itself, however, for Insiders and everyone else, has not yet been announced.
If you're planning to play on PC, you might be wondering what kind of rig you'll need to have a good experience. The recommended PC specs will be published "shortly," EA said in another tweet. The teams at EA and DICE are still working on optimization efforts, the post mentioned.
The Battlefield 1 beta takes players to the Sinai Desert map, which features horseback combat, a deadly armored train, planes, and more. There are two modes in the beta: Conquest and Rush. Matches can support up to 64 players. Check out this post to learn even more about Sinai Desert.
Some other unknowns right now include whether or not other maps and modes will be made available as the beta progresses and when the pre-release play period will wrap up. We'll bring you more details on the Battlefield 1 open beta as they become available.
Battlefield 1 comes out on October 21 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
