It's been no secret that Superman is on his way to Supergirl Season 2, and now we can see exactly how he'll look when saving the day. In a clip from Entertainment Weekly, Superman teams up with his cousin Supergirl, as she's trying to save a couple of astronauts from crashing into Earth.
The clip starts with Clark Kent talking to his boss over the phone, playing the awkward, nerdy guy very well. He then hears news of the shuttle flying towards Earth and both he and Supergirl fly into action. You can watch the full clip on the EW.
Executive producer Andrew Kresiberg told EW that the two don't share a rivalry, "they just both heard about the same tragedy on the news and both flew into action." He added that they're happy to spend time with each other.
"They haven't really gotten a chance to spend time together, especially since she's come out as Supergirl, and they both want that," Kreisberg said. "Both of them have a bit of sadness about them--they both have that sense of feeling alone, they both have that sense of feeling different--and both of them remark that that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together."
Supergirl Season 2 starts October 10 at 5 PM PT on The CW. It previously aired on CBS before making the switch to the same network thathosts The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. You can expect a crossover between the four shows in December.
