People keep making amazing mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A recent example comes from Reddit user Linas_002, who used a mod to downgrade the game's graphics to make it look like a 3DS title.
As you can see in the image gallery below, the Witcher 3's world looks a lot lower-res than you might remember it. There is a certain level of charm, though, I'd say, and it makes the case that a stylized Witcher game might not be such a wild idea. Check out all the images in the gallery below.According to Linas_002, you manually set the TextureMipBias to value 8 in the game's .ini files to make the game look this way. Alternatively, the person says you can use this mod to set that value in-game. As always, be careful when downloading things from the internet.
Some of The Witcher 3's other standout mods let you do things like play as Ciri, Triss, or Yennefer, while another mod lets you play in first-person, not unlike Skyrim.
The Witcher 3's Game of the Year edition came out in August, featuring the award-winning base game and its two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. A fourth game in the core Witcher series has not been ruled out, but don't expect it to come out soon.
