Deadpool 2 is still more than a year away from opening in theaters, but when it does, we'll see classic Marvel character Domino on the big screen. According to a report from Collider, director Tim Miller and the producers have a short list of actors they're considering for the part.
The actors include Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Sofia Boutella (Kingsman), Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), and Sylvia Hoeks (Overspel). Collider's source says that more actresses could be under consideration, but the aforementioned six are testing or have tested for the role.
DominoIn the comics, Domino is a skilled mercenary with the mutant power of manipulating probability. Basically, this means she can make her own luck. She's been a part of the X-Men but is most commonly associated with the X-Force. Deadpool has been successful at frustrating and annoying her throughout their stories together. You can learn more about the character over on GameSpot sister site Comic Vine.
Deadpool 2 is set to release on January 12, 2018. Not much is known about the film, other than it'll star Ryan Reynolds. The introduction of Cable, a character Deadpool teams up with in the comics, is expected, and one actor has expressed interest in playing him. Stephen Lang (Don't Breathe) said in a September interview that he likes keeping the idea of playing Cable alive but hasn't talked to anyone involved with the movie.
You can find out the seven things we want in a Deadpool sequel here. They include Cable, Stan Lee, and even more X-Men.
