For the second time this week, Fox has released a new video for the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie focused on the film's version of the fictional technology called the Animus. Titled "The Science of the Animus," the video shows stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard talking about how the time-travel-esque machines works and why they think it's cool. "It's a very cool experience; it's just a fantastic concept," Fassbender says. Take a look:
As this video and past ones have shown, the claw-like Animus in the movie is rather different to the ones that fans know from the games series. In September, Fassbender revealed that Ubisoft was considering placing the movie version in the game.
In the games and the movie, the Animus allows a person in the present day to access the memories of their ancestors. In the case of the movie, Fassbender plays the present-day character Callum Lynch and taps into the memories of his 15th century Spanish ancestor, Aguillar, also played by Fassbender.
Assassin's Creed is directed by Justin Kurzel (Macbeth), and also stars Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael Kenneth Williams.
In other news, Cotillard appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O show recently and discussed the movie. Below are some breakouts of what she said, as relayed by the show's Twitter page.
