Final Fantasy XV's latest patch is out now, bringing a New Game Plus mode as its standout feature.
This update's New Game Plus mode allows you to play through the main story over again once you complete it. You can carry over all your existing weapons, magic, and skills into your second run, according to NeoGAF user rayman1990. The mode apparently does not offer any new difficulty options, however, while your Ultimate Blade and Regalia will return to their base states.
The update also includes Christmas-themed photo frames for your Prompto selfies. A full Holiday DLC Pack drops on December 22.
Publisher Square Enix has not released the official patch notes as of yet, but we'll update this story when they become available.
Square Enix recently revealed its full DLC plan for Final Fantasy XV. There'll be a bunch of free updates, plus six paid expansions. The final paid DLC pack, Comrades, will introduce online co-op.
After years of development and multiple delays, Final Fantasy XV launched on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It shipped 5 million copies to retailers on launch day, representing a new record for the franchise.
GameSpot's Final Fantasy XV review scored it an 8/10.
