  • Adam Driver on Carrie Fisher's Passing -- "A Tragedy"

Appearing last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Star Wars actor Adam Driver remembered Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher, who passed away last week at the age of 60.

"She burns very bright and has such a great, very generous energy," Driver said.
He went on to say that Fisher's own personal character in life will be sorely missed by the core members of the Star Wars acting family. "Her character, not just her character in the movie but her character [in life] missing from that very small unit [of actors], is a tragedy," he said.
Fisher died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack days earlier on a London-to-LA flight. Her mother, the actress Debbie Reynolds, died one day later, on December 28. She was 84. A private memorial service for Fisher and Reynolds was held on January 5 in Beverly Hills.
Leia is slated to appear in this year's Star Wars: Episode VIII and was planned to have some big scenes in 2019's Star Wars: Episode IX. In the wake of her passing, Disney and Lucasfilm are meeting to discuss Leia's future in the Star Wars film series.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs on GameSpot parent network CBS.
