Every week, numerous streaming services release new content for their subscribers. While we already know what's coming to Netflix this week, it's time to see what's arriving to Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and the horror-themed Shudder between Sunday, August 25 and Saturday, August 31.
For Amazon this week, the original series Carnival Row launches on Friday. The show follows a world where humans live alongside mythological creatures in a Victorian setting. A detective (Orlando Bloom) and fairy (Cara Delevingne) spark a love affair, which is illegal. All of this is happening while the peace between monsters and humans is on the brink of collapse following a string of murders. On Saturday, Amazon releases most of its movies for the month, the most notable being The Fifth Element, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist .
Over on Hulu, the biggest release of the week is 2018's How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. In the third movie in the animated series, Hiccup finds there are more Night Furies in the world--not just Toothless--so he goes on an adventure to find the titular Hidden World before the evil Grimmel does.
Finally, AMC's horror streaming service Shudder has a few new releases this week. This includes the 1980 monster flick Humanoids from the Deep, the witchcraft movie from a couple years ago The Love Witch, and the satanic Belzebuth from 2017.
Below, you'll find everything headed to Amazon, Hulu, and Shudder this week. And if you want to look forward to plan your bingeing schedule, check out the September releases for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu.
