Are enterprise customers clamoring for all-in-one (AIO) desktops? We're not sure, but system builder Eurocom is confident there's a large enough market to warrant releasing the Uno 3.0, an AIO desktop with a 21.5-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) multi-touch display and integrated 6-cell battery pack just in case the building's wiring goes haywire. For the bean counters, Eurocom's also pitching this as an Eco-Friendly system that can result in reduced energy costs.
The Uno 3.0 has a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 chip and VESA mount options to accommodate a variety of work spaces.
"The integrated Trusted Platform Module 1.2 ensures that information like keys, password and digital certificates stored are made more secure from software attacks and physical theft. The increased security, brought on by the TPM 1.2 can save organizations in IT management cost," Eurocom says.
Pricing starts at around $920 and includes an Intel Core i5 3570S processor, 4GB of DDR3-1600 memory, 500GB hard drive, 8X DVD burner, 9-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and a 2MP webcam. OS and other upgrades are extra.
