After learning about HP's Pavilion Mini and Stream Mini desktop PCs yesterday, we gave Online Managing Editor and Video Guru Jimmy Thang a special mission -- seek out HP's booth at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and film the company's products. It didn't take him long to sniff out HP's whereabouts to give us a closer look at the NUC like PCs, along with a curvaceous ultrawide display that we're now anxious to try out for ourselves.
You may have noticed that all the cool kids are releasing pint sized PCs these days. We won't rehash here much of what we already reported on yesterday, but suffice to say, HP has joined the fray with a pair of systems that can fit in the palm of your hand. They're not desktop destroyers by any means, though they certainly contain respectable hardware for most mainstream users.
HP also showed off its brand new Envy 34c, a curvy ultrawide monitor with a 34-inch panel and WQHD 3440x1440 resolution (though not revealed in the video, that comes out to a 21:9 aspect ratio). There are 4W speakers on both sides, though obviously the real draw here is the vast real estate with a slight curve.
We did some digging on the web and it looks like the Envy 34c will ship in April for $999.
