Punk Buster ???

I would like to know what everyone thinks about Punk Buster. I am not really sure what it does and if it is worth while. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Well, I dunno how useful it is, but I know I hate the lag it creates each time it does a check... I believe punkbusters main purpose is to limit the cvar tweaking that some people do to their configs...

As you can see, it does give an advantage, although personally I like the traditional look of wolf.. Id rather die 100x's over than play with the washed out look Ive seen some players using..

I had the same problem for a while, your firewall is blocking punkbuster from up dating itself, u need to up-date it manually....

Punkbuster is a good thing.

A couple things you can do if you are experiencing lag when it does the updates:

In console type :

/pb_sleep 500

and
/pb_security 0

And Silence, if you can't get PB running, maybe try re-installing the 1.4 patch (full version)..it should give an option to install PB
