I've been reading this thread a lot lately and other of this kind. It is really hard for me to put into words what I feel about all of this shit, but I'll try as best as I can.

Yes the USA got it's self into this mess, and yes the USA has done some very bad things in the past. So if it makes you feel better you can blame the USA for all the problems in the world. The fact is you can go look at any other country and find out they have done bad things to. The USA doesn't have the market on it.

All of you who think this is just a USA thing against the muslims you are dead wrong. The USA AND other countries forces are fighting against the extremist, the very people who want YOU dead if YOU don't follow their way of Islam. The best way to think of the extremist mindset is to look at european crusaders during the 500's AD. The average muslim does not belive this, which is why the US forces don't bomb their mosques.

If you think this was a money grab or oil grab you're pretty much off target too. Yes some American companies will make money off of the war, but typical American politics the American people will pay for most of the rebuilding. Yes Iraq was a rich country, but no Saddam wasn't a nice guy and left all that money with the Iraqi people when he left.

Think of it more of a tactical move, 3 out of 4 countries that you want to end a threat from are all close to each other with the same type a fighting ground. Would you bounce your forces around different regions or move your equipement that is geared for a certain terrain and attack? Hell if things go well in Iraq and Iran doesn't change it's ways, I can see US forces there in a nother year or 2. If Iran continues to start playing nice like they just started too, I can see US forces in North Korea in that time frame.

I have no illusions about war. It is not like RTCW in any way shape or manner, it isn't like anything you can experience and no 2 people can experience it the same way. But given a choice I would gladly go back there and fight so my wife, son and daughter would not have to live under the extremist islamic laws.

Now I'm off to smoke a bowl and gun some of you down on RTCW.

Noo Medic, I dont blame the USA for all the bad things that happen in the World.. Im the first to admit Australia has messed up many times, on foreign shores, and at home. Our policies have ruined lives, we are far be it from innocent. But, at least I recognize this, just as you do in regards to America.
I just dont rub up well against some of the superiority complexes I witness in regards to America. And I dont speak for all Australians, there are many who support the war, Im sure of it... I just dont know any personally. I guess its the same in the States, some people truly believe, and others dont, its only natural.
I also agree that this isnt a religious war, as you already stated the average muslim doesnt follow the extremists view. The hatred that Muslims have recieved the last few years, even in Australia, is just appalling.
I also dont think Americas actions are 'Gods work' as some see it.
