The point is that WTC was a retaliation, not only an attack. IF you look at Americas history in the Middle East , and the fact that the taliban formed initially from the homeless Iranians/Iraqis that were abandoned by the Americans after the initial war back in the 90's.
As for living through that hell.. well Americans dont have the monopoly on that. I was removed from my home country because of war, but not until I had seen some atrocities. And, still war wages in the country I call my home.. 10 years on. Not to mention the Bali bombing.. I spent nearly all of my highschool holidays in Bali, got my first job there when I was 16.. I lost a few Balinese friends in that attack also.
Just because Im not American doesnt mean I dont understand. But I try and look at all situations without revenge in my mind, because I dont think that solves anything.. it just keeps the hatred alive.
Frankly, Id rather live without the hatred.

Yes you are correct Ritz on the bin laden funding by the US. Tho that was to keep Russia from claiming Afgany land. Bin Laden was actually supposed to be helping with a rebuild of new gov't. Instead he got with his buddy Sadaam and rather then rule with freedom, they chose to rule with fear. Durring cold war days thats a no no for Russia to occupy that area, preventing WWIII with touchy men and nukes. Planning was after Russia was expelled they then recieved funding to rebuild. Hense an entire soccor arena built to promote social interaction/sports was used to publically murder to instill fear into others. Go team!

Revenge? Maybe use that arguement when US went into afganastan, but not for sadaam. Take it as a pre-emptive strike against a future hitler if you will. After the trade center/ pentagon, do you think they would stop? How about a jumbo jet flying into Big Ben, Paris Monument, and seeing citizens, not soldiers being murdered. If its not a reality check I don't know what is. Think of how many would have been saved if hilter was taken out before he got enough power for a holocost. Bin Laden can play as Himler. Isn't sadaam being charged with genocide by his own people soon? Bush may not be the best president, but I don't recall him taking out any US citizens in a genocide.

Anyways I quit politics talk, its like religion banter it could go on forever.

History repeats it self, or so I'm told.

an evil dictator in a hole... how eerie... how bizarre and unexpected.

Should take a look at the NYTimes.com multimedia piece. There are pictures of the little hole and everything. So weird. Plus, Iraq is one shitty, ugly country.

Err From my point of view Iraq is a beautiful country, rich in history, architectural character.. and beauty rarely seen along the banks of the Tigris River. Unfortunately.. now its war torn, and desolate.. I hope the country once again flourishes.

And seeing the pictures of Saddam fresh from hiding, along with footage of his hole in the ground only made me pity him. I think, it would have been nice to see his captors allow him to keep what dignity he has left.. and not show him as they did. To me, its noble to show even your worst enemy respect.

lol look what ive started :\
And yes Rov... your such a trouble maker!

This is a man responsible for 100's of thousands of deaths, a sponsor of terrorism, and used torture and rape as other means to keep a firm grip on his power. Pretty tough for me to respect that.

He was shown like that for a very good reason. It was a very clear message to those that remained loyal to him that he is no longer the man that they once followed. And they won't be recieving any more money from him.

Here is a man that asked every Iraqi before the war to stand up and die for their country. And now they found him hiding in a hole. I think those images we saw send a very good message.

WHAT? Tam, are you kidding? I have to disagree with you on that first thing - have you seen pictures of Iraq? It's like the hideous armpit of the planet. Some of the ugliest countryside anywhere in this solar system. Siberia is much prettier. WEST TEXAS is much prettier (you have no idea what that means coming from me... I'm not very fond of Texas, either.)

Iraq is a nasty, stinky, ugly wasteland... it's the armpit of the planet... and it turns out it was hiding the planet's asshole, too...

Hey,i dont get upset over opinions.. They are like assholes, everyones got one.. You can all judge but America stands for freedom.. I have relaitives in different countries, and I am so glad I am here.. No government is perfect, by all means other countries suck the big one as well.. All Im saying is some of you who do not know ALL the facts, should consider reading more or having more knowledge before pointing the fingers.. Our President had no choice but to end this bullshit the middle eastern countries do to us.. Don't you people realize for about the last 55 years we have funded them, helped their needy Children, sent food, etc etc, because their Dictator years back asked England and America for help.. Bin Laden and Saddam are against America because we don't believe in cutting Women's clit's off at birth so they never enjoy sex, or because our President don't make us follow one religion, or my personal favorite (And Saddam admissted recently) the reason for most of the violence and terrorists on America is because thier is no Public deaths.. In other words, if someone cheats on a spouse- over in Iraq, they would be publically stoned to death.. If a Mother had a Child out of wedlock, most times the Child is aborted and the Woman is molested and killed, I can go on and on.. So whatever you all come up with to say any of this is justified are some sick bastards.. Sorry, I know we all have our own opinions, but NO one can change mine.. I Love you guys but sometimes I get sickened by the comments..
