Of course its not false Ken.. Its the media.. and what the media says, is Always right.. right?

Seriously though, it is correct.. Which is my point exactly. I think the man is broken enough without kicking him while hes down. Respect your enemy, it will show who is the bigger man.

Well I'm not sure that releasing those images was for the sole purpose of further demoralizing him. My guess is that he's not watching much TV right now.

They released those images for stratagy. It will show 1.) Iraq that the US won't leave them this time like Desert Storm 2.) It shows any of his terror cells left that it is over and their leader is already fessing up. When caught Sadaam said," I'm ready to negociate" Thats funny...

I don’t see Mr Bush hunting down his own country men and sentencing them to death (without a fair and trial)
Read that link Mel... the one I supplied a few pages back, and examine the resource links, I think you will be surprised at just how many deaths America is responsible for in the last 100 years.

And discussing females having their clit removed.. well, look to Africa, the women there are still being subjugated to far worse in some states, not only women, but this happens to young girls of barely 10 years old, and then they are married. When can we expect to see Bush move in to liberate these people? If indeed that is what this crusade is all about...

Tam if you believe what is written in that article, it's because you wanted to.

The notion that the US has occupied Iraq for their Oil is ridiculous. Our Oil imports from Saudi Arabia haven't changed one bit. And why would we bother setting up a new government made up of Iraqi's if oil was our goal.

The comparison of Bush to Hitler and the statement that this war might have been racially motivated completely discredits anything that guy said.

The last country that we "occupied", we built a new government and left..That country is now a world economic power..Japan.

In the US, we value our allies and any threat to them is considered a threat to us. Saddam Hussein paid money to have people commit terrorist acts against one of our Allies. That's justification enough for war to me. It's just a shame to me that our other "Allies" don't feel the same way.

If passifist people / countries want to look down on us for this then so be it. 9/11 made the world a different place. Thats a fact. I'm just glad that we aren't gonna sit around and wait for it to happen again.

                            Two words - Justifiable Interference.
If Bush had declared 'Lets invade Iraq and overthrow the country, occupy it, then reap the economic benefits we will gain from taking control of their oil production' just how much support do you think he would have received? Or this one I particularily like 'That bastard attempted to kill my Daddy, now hes gonna pay for it.'
You think its coincidental that Bush got into office at the time that he did, after 9/11.. You actually believe he gained his Presidency in a fair and valid vote count? The entire thing was a setup, and it was arranged long before you, or any other American ever heard the words Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The comparison of Bush to Hitler and the statement that this war might have been racially motivated completely discredits anything that guy said.
Read the entire piece. He is not calling Bush Hitler, he is making a comparison between the Nazi Regime and how they 'worked' in order to gain public support, and the propoganda machine that Bush wields everytime he opens his mouth. Regardless, however you feel it discredited his information, there is later on in the piece factual historical events that critique Americas actions and foreign policies.

The last country that we "occupied", we built a new government and left..That country is now a world economic power..Japan.
There is only one word necessary in reply to this - Hiroshima. But don't kid yourself, the Japanese economy is nothing like Americas, so I am not sure how you equate Americas influence as to what Japan has become, be it successful or not.

Saddam Hussein paid money to have people commit terrorist acts against one of our Allies. That's justification enough for war to me.
If that is justified means for war, then dont overlook the underground military actions, paid for in secret by the American Government, against other leaders/nations on this planet. If that is a justification for war, then many other Nations/leaders around the World have the right to wage war against the US. Unless of course, its one rule for Americans, and another for the rest of us.

9/11 made the world a different place.
True.. very true, to the average everyday American at least. What you so easily disregard is that 9/11 was not the first terrorist attack in our Worlds history. But, it was the first major blow dealt the U.S, so of course, thats different.
How dare someone attack another country in retaliation for what they believed that country has done to them.. Right? Unless you are America, in that case... retaliation is the only resort.
Its like treating the symptoms, but never really curing the disease.

Now, Americans can love their country. They can support its actions, its their patriotic duty I believe. But, just because not everyone in the rest of the World agrees with Bush, doesnt make us wrong either. Unfortunately, I understand that you obviously feel, just as your president does, that if we arent with you, we are against you.
No room for differing opinions there.
But, thats not the case. The way I see it is that we are of the same race, living on the same Earth, and we all have as much right as the next person to believe in what we believe. That being said, if I choose not to believe what Bush tells me, not to mention what my own Prime Minister has to say, that is my right as a citizen of this World. Just as its your right, to believe.
Most importantly, its in both of our rights, to question.
Freedom of thought, Freedom of Speech.. or is that a myth?

Edit - My apologies for the length.

Any rational mind would consider both these statements very far fetched. Again, why haven't our oil imports from Saudi Arabia changed? You really think that we are secretly stealing Iraq's oil? Thats simply impossible.

Bush was elected before 9/11. Kinda blows your conspiracy theory.

I agree with you 100% here. We should have eliminated the threat before 9/11 happened. It's a well known fact that our decision to pull out of Somalia after we were attacked showed weakness. And Osama Bin Laden believed that after the 9/11 attacks, we would leave the middle east..boy did he guess wrong.

Now, Americans can love their country. They can support its actions, its their patriotic duty I believe.
