The release of Fantasian Neo Dimension was something of a full circle moment for Hironobu Sakaguchi. Final Fantasy's creator left Square Enix back in 2003 and founded his own studio, Mistwalker, where he's since continued making RPGs. Fantasian, in 2021, was one such release, but remained exclusive to Apple Arcade until last year's re-release - published by none other than Square Enix.

We already knew roughly when it was coming, thanks to Paramount's announcement at the end of last year, but the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 movie now has a proper release date. It is, however, still a fair way out - with Sonic's next big screen undertaking not due until March 2027.

We got our first look at Nintendo Switch 2 last week, after an avalanche of leaks and reports about the console's final design and functionality. And, as we expected, it was confirmed the Switch 2 will boast magnetic Joy-Cons, a change from its predecessor's mechanical rail locking system.

Luke Ross, the prolific flat to VR modder and creator of the REAL VR mod has been suspiciously quiet recently. Turns out this was because he's been secretly digging into the code for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and he's emerged from its dusty depths with an upcoming PC VR mod that's so exciting, it might just belong in a museum.

I'm not really ready to think about a world without David Lynch yet. But I have at least realised in the days since his passing that Lynch was probably my introduction to genuine art - art which I felt like I was part of the genuine audience for. This came with Twin Peaks, which I first watched, terrified and confused and thrilled and delighted, when I was 12. My mental life was massively expanded by that show. I was that kid at school brushing my hair like Cooper - back when I had hair! - and walking around talking into a TV remote like it was a dictaphone and really trying to like coffee. (I was eventually successful on that front.) What an idiot I was, and yet Cooper, I still feel, is an extremely good role model. Pretty much ideal, really.
