
Facebook Home failed to catch on the way it was anticipated to, so it appears Facebook is investigating other venues to keep the brand afloat while making it easier for users to access their profile and other information. It looks like the advent of standalone Facebook apps may be upon us.
While Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had made mention of these apps before, inside sources (via TechSpot) say they may finally be rolling out this year. Details are already swirling around "Paper," styled around Flipboard, which would display users' feeds in an easy-to-read manner. If that does well, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to see an app for all of Facebook's separate functionalities in the future.
